FollowThatList is a way for ESPs, email marketers, online merchants and anyone else who handles personally identifiable information that includes an email address to monitor the security of their data.
It allows you to create "seed" email addresses that you can add to your databases and email address lists, and to maintain a whitelist of email senders who legitimately have access to those addresses. Any time an email is sent to any of those addresses from anyone not on the whitelist you'll be notified.
As well as giving you early warning that your data has been compromised this also allows you to track down where and when it was compromised - if the only seed addresses that receive spam are those that were shared with one particular subcontractor, you know where they probably leaked from. If the seed addresses you added in May get spam, while those added in April don't, you know when they probably leaked.
We're still beta testing at the moment, and aren't open to everyone yet. If you already have an account, sign in with the button in the top left.
If someone from Word to the Wise has given you an account cookie then you can create a new account.
We're planning to open to everyone by the end of June. If you'd like access to a beta account before then, you can send us an email.
